New Character Sheet + 2.0 Plans


Hello everyone!

I created a new character sheet with a new design philosophy, please feel free to download and let me know what you think.

With Crypts being out for 6 months, I decided to take another look at the state of the game. There are a few things I'd love to retool and tweak, but not without significant overhauls in place. The original document is difficult to work with, so I'd effectively be starting from scratch (design wise). For the 1 year anniversary, here is my plan:

1. Replace all AI art with real human art. This has been nagging at me since the beginning, as I feel it has cheapened the experience. Being a one-man show, it was the easy route and I would like to correct this if I can.

2. Redo the page layout for the book. The current version is a bit haphazard for my tastes, but at the time I wasn't able to do better. Having practiced within Affinity designer, I feel that my skills have improved. I'd like to undertake the challenge to redo the design in a way that makes it feel unique.

3. Add new subclasses, and perhaps do a rebalance sweep. Currently, with bosses having a CV of 1d20, it's extremely difficult for solo players to overcome, and weaker attributes will almost never succeed against them. Although it was intentionally difficult, I'd like to ensure the experience is playable. (The game gets significantly easier with friends.)

4. Make a hardcover version. This will be once I feel the previous things are done and dusted.
